Hyundai IONIQ 6 eases range anxiety

Hyundai IONIQ 6 eases range anxiety with 614km of range on a single charge

IONIQ 6’s E-GMP architecture supports customers’ varied lifestyles

The impressive performance and range are made possible in large part by Hyundai Motor Group’s dedicated EV architecture, the Electric-Global Modular Platform (E-GMP) and the Electrified Streamliner’s ultra-low drag.

E-GMP delivers optimal electrical performance and provides 800V ultra-fast charging with up to 351 km of range in just 15 minutes, or 10 to 80% in about 18 minutes. The platform also supports 400V charging without the need for additional components or adapters.

The Electrified Streamliner takes advantage of E-GMP to provide a segment-leading long wheelbase of 2,950mm that best meets customer needs. With E-GMP, the IONIQ 6 can act as a workstation or mobile power bank on wheels, thanks to innovative Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) technology.

A functionality that makes it possible to charge electrical devices, for example camping or other outdoor projects and thus create usage possibilities that suit customers’ different lifestyles on the go.

IONIQ 6 achieves the lowest drag coefficient in Hyundai’s range

Hyundai Motor maximized the IONIQ 6’s all-electric driving range through extensive aerodynamic design and engineering. The car’s drag coefficient of 0.21 is the lowest in the company’s range and one of the lowest in the industry.

The IONIQ 6’s streamlined appearance and various design elements, such as active air flap, wheel air curtains, integrated rear spoiler and wheel gap reducer, significantly improve the model’s aerodynamic performance and place it among the most elegant vehicles in the world.

The wheel gap reducers in particular, minimize the empty space between the front bumper and the tires, improving the aerodynamic performance around the wheel arches. Applied for the first time in Hyundai IONIQ 6. This enables the company’s Electrified Streamliner to improve passenger ride comfort while overcoming aerodynamic challenges posed by its short front overhang.
